To create the sounds of the Fnoon I used several recorded sounds of farm pigs squealing, which I stretched them with the varispeed. The Fnoon had too much of a reverb sound, which gave it an indoor space sound, so I used an alternate sound source through the same process.

The sound of the engine was created using a blender. This was the easiest sound to create, because the blender was consistent. Using a phaser I was able to get the futurist sound of a spaceship levitating with a little bit of an engine hum in the background.

Teleport

I rubbed a plastic knife against plastic cups in order to create the teleportation sounds. I added both flanger and phaser effects to get the futuristic and spacey sound that I desired. I instead switched this source sound with the zipper sound source of the Vaporizer and was able to create a new teleport sound.

I moved the zipper back and forth constantly to create the sound I used for the vaporizer. I used a frequency shifter to change the sound of the zipper then reversed the clip to give the weapon the sound of a laser cooling down after the shot. The finished sound reminds me a little of the game Galaga. I switched the sound source of the teleport and vaporizer. Using the same effects on the knife rubbing against the cups sound I was able to create an even better vaporizer sound.

Vaporizer

By recording the sound created by constantly turning this gaming wheel I was able to create the sound of the planet DKuk. I used the varispeed effect with elastic audio to give the feeling of the atmosphere of the planet. The original sound of Dkuk was too loud, so I used a reverb on the original sound in order to give it a more atmospheric effect in the 2nd draft.

DKuk

I recorded the sound of the refridgerator running in order to make the sound of Kraktoh. Since the description of the planet was a cold and icy planet; I thought this would be the best sound. I used an EQ to give it a cold and windy sound, while using a compressor, because there were huge spikes in the sound. The original sound of Kraktoh was too loud, so I used a reverb on the original sound in order to give it a more atmospheric effect in the 2nd draft.

Kraktoh

Barnaby

In order to create the sounds of the Barnaby I used several recorded sounds of cats hissing and fighting and stretched them with the varispeed effect.
